History Day hosted by FASS Scotland
This event is an opportunity to hear talks by members of the History Department and hear about History modules. It will also be the launch for the new Modern Scottish History module, produced together with The University of Dundee.
The programme includes:
- Lecture by Dr Anna Plassart, History Department, the Open University, “The Scottish Enlightenment and the Napoleonic Wars”
- Lecture by Dr John Slight, History Department, The Open University, “Islam in Britain during the age of empire”
- Short presentations and information on Level 2 and Level 3 modules in History
- Launch of new module on Modern Scottish History, 1707-1997. Lecture by Professor Graeme Morton, The University of Dundee, on “Scots on the Move, Scots on the Make: a modern history of the nation”.
The event is being held on Saturday 8th June 10am for 10.15am start until 3.00 pm at The Edinburgh Training Centre and Conference Venue, 16 St Marys Street Edinburgh, EH1 1SU Scotland, https://edintrain.com/
Refreshments will be provided throughout the day however please bring your own lunch or alternatively there are places to buy lunch in the neighbourhood.
